Sister Dawna Matrix
Mistress of Novices (Vice President)
What is your full Sister name?
Sister Dawna Matrix
Of the Kinky Flagellation
The Holey Bleeding Eyes of Baby Jesus!
High Priestess of the Order of the Just Joshuans
The Hippy Radical Reform Church of Wetoja So!
The Lazy Prophet of Ganja
Date you joined the order?
I joined the Order less than a year after it's initial founding in 2001.
What is your lay occupation?
I tend to lay in a reclining position most of the time, I have this tummy problem that forces me to sit upright in bed, most disturbing, and gassy. Oh you mean what do I do for a living, My Secular life is that of an artist, singer, entertainer, promoter, Manager, construction worker, indian, sailor, Leatherman, Organic Gardener, Husband and friend.
Date of birth?
I was born a poor Native American girl, in a small town next to a reservation near the Texas-Oklahoma border. The year was 1974, there was the faint smell of incense in the air. Followed by a Whif of onion rings, I think it was a Dairy Queen. I don't remember much before that. I was born on November 18th, which makes me a Scorpio-Tiger, any way you slice it I just might eat you alive! RAWR...
Home town?
We moved to a small town in Georgia, Hinesville, it was a military town, I was an Army Brat. I graduated from Bradwell Institute, it was more like an institution back then. I knew I was different when I lettered in Drama, did you know they can do that, letter in Drama... it's the Headstart Program for Homosexuals you know.
When did you discover your calling?
Ahh I guess you could say it came from God, he apparently moonlights as a cute bearish kinda guy in Windsor on occasions. He called me up and said "Ya know you should hang out in Guerneville more, there's lot's of Homosexuals up there ya know." I said, " thank you God I'll do that", so after boozing it up at the bars I met the strangest of people, her name was Mary Margaret Of the XPlosion. She wrapped a drunken leg around me, grabbed me by the back of the hair and in a husky southern, southern comfort laden drawl, she said. "You are gonna be a Nun!"
Big Sisters/Mother in the order?
My Big Sisters in the Order were founding members Chastity Boner and Barbi Mitzvah. Chastity went on to become my Mother.
Why did you join?
That is a long story, Suffice to say I have felt rather obligated by my Karma to spend the rest of my life fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves.
My personal philosophy is:
"A hungry child should be fed.
A sick child should be healed.
An angry child should be taught.
And a lonely child should be loved.
We are all each-others children."
Religious beliefs (if any)?
I don't believe in "religion" per-se, religion is more the cooperative politics of joint moral persuasion. I prefer "Spirituality". Becoming an evolved creature in the universe requires you to do just that, to evolve. To Grow, to learn, to survive. These are things that changes the spirit, many rivers, all leading to the same ocean. My mantra would probably be "We live in a universe of infinity diversity, in infinite combinations, thus yielding infinite wisdom.
There was, is and always will be.
The "IS" that is "All" became.
In Becoming, We were aware of our ignorance of the "IS".
Thus We could explore the "IS" in every Detail.
Thus Passing an eternity, In thought.
Because there is no thought in the "IS".
There simply "IS".
How else would you spend an eternity?
Goals and aspirations?
I want to eventually be part of a collective Organic Artist community Ranch, somewhere on the Russian River, I've started a blog about it, wanna hear it, here it goes... http://nodhproject.blogspot.com.
Rules by which I believe ...
Rules, there are rules, pish-posh, it's all an illusion, I stand by tradition, but rules, Ha!
Other People's Words that I find instructive ...
"I am often granted insight when I'm in the Water by Grandmother Spider. Today it was in the shower.
Grandmother Spider does not speak in words,
she shows you in pictures and sights and sounds. It was breathtaking.
I traveled along her Web of infinite time and space and meaning, simply for asking the question;
"why am I here, what is my purpose in life?"
She showed me the complicated Web of cause and effect, existence and thought, how one thing affects everything else in the universe, a single thought, a single word, a single moment.
We live in a world of our own making, anything is possible, Anything.
I know this to be true from quantum physics and infinite universe theory, multiple universes all created by a simple thought, decision, action. I comprehend the physics, but until now I did not Believe in them.
Infinite diversity in infinite combinations, this is the nature of the reality we choose to live in.
Grandmother Spider showed me how in Living your life, you are fulfilling the "Why"
Every rock your feet move,
tree your eyes view,
ripple in every pond from every pebble no matter how small.
Every word that is spoken,
every thought you have,
every dream you make real.
That is your purpose,
to add to this diversity,
have these thoughts,
explore ideas,
or simply smile at just the right moment.
Every defeat is a triumph,
every mistake a lesson
The Web that connects us all is the reality we believe it to be.
The Not knowing is our Purpose,
the Ignorance of the Everything is our Divinity.
in simply existing you are accomplishing your "mission" in life.
Simply be who you wish to be,
and you have fulfilled your destiny.
It Is our reality.
We are who we percieve ourselves to be.
Nothing more, and Nothing less.
I Thank Grandmother Spider for showing me the Web of infinite possibility.
Yet again you bring light into darkness. Existence from nothingness.
It truly is in the eye of the beholder.
One Hell of a shower...
