Financial Grant Information & Application
The Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence appear at many events that have a goal of raising funds for a specific cause, such as HIV/AIDS or breast cancer.
We also host events where the proceeds go into a Grants Fund. The monies in this grant fund are used to provide financial grants to under-funded, smaller organizations and projects providing direct services to the members of our local community. The majority of these organizations and projects receive little, if any, government or mainstream funding. Many groups are grass roots organizations that have identified a specific need within our community and are in the start-up stages of development.
We are especially attracted to progressive projects that promote wellness, identity, tolerance and diversity within our community in the Russian River area.
We envision the Russian River Area as a vibrant and diverse community without regard to race, gender, religious belief or sexual orientation.
The Russian River Sisters’ Grants Fund is managed by a committee of Sisters. Grant funding requests are accepted only in writing via an application form on our website. Grant Fund applications are reviewed and evaluated by the Grants Committee. In evaluating an application, we consider the nature of the request and how relevant it is to the needs of our local community. We do not approve grant requests for salaries, honorariums, personal or travel expenses. We also do not approve requests from organizations outside of our sphere of influence.
Please note that we receive many requests and there are no guarantees your application will be approved.
